Villa Mariani, in origin was a small cottage and the countess
Fenshawe had wanted to have it built on the project of
the architect Charles Garnier (1825-1898),
the person who designed the Opera of Paris.
Pompeo Mariani bought this small building in 1909 and
afterwards he commissioned the architect Rodolfo
Winter to widen it. |
